On the night of the passover, Jesus implemented the Lords supper. He said --Keep on doing this in remembrance of me.= On the night of the passover only.
He as well made a special covenant for those who are to partake=Luke 22:29-30= Those who will sit on thrones( only)-Only the little flock( Luke 12:32) will sit on thrones, the great crowd( Rev 7:9) of other sheep( John 10:16) who are not of that fold will not sit on thrones. The little flock= the anointed bride of Christ=144,000 bought from the earth( Rev 14:3) these will be kings and priests on thrones beside Jesus( Rev 1:6,, Rev 20:6)
Paul warned that some are not worthy=the great crowd. 1Cor 11:27-29)--verse 28 approve oneself( being of the little flock) after scrutiny. Thus-All others partaking are committing serious sin, only the false religions lead by blind guides tell ALL to partake. Those reside in darkness and are misleading ones to not enter Gods kingdom. Luke 22"29-30 is clear-who will you believe?

I was brought up in a denomination wherein the Lord's Supper was called
Communion, and we consumed Jesus' flesh and blood by means of a process
called transubstantiation; in accord with John 6:53-58.

Only religions of darkness tell all to partake.

.
John 6:53 . . Truly, Truly, I say to you: unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man
and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.

The kind of life about which the Son of Man spoke is supernatural.

John 6:54 . . He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.

Eternal life is far and away superior to human life because it's the life of God, i.e. it
always was, it always is, and it always shall be because eternal life is both
perpetual and indestructible, viz: eternal life never gets old, it never wears out, it
never wears off, nor does it ever need replenishing because it can't be used up with
any more ease than God can be used up. (1John 1:2-3)

That being the case with eternal life, then it's only necessary to obtain it one time
and one time only.

Now the thing is: eternal life is a very core element of New Testament Christianity,
viz: people lacking eternal life are also lacking unity with God's son, i.e. they are
literally quite christless.

1John 5:9-13 . .We accept human testimony, but God's testimony carries more
weight because it is the testimony of God, which He has given about His son. . . .
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His son.
Whoever has the Son has the life; whoever who does not have the life, does not
have God's son.

There are well-meaning Christians out and about insisting that no one obtains
eternal life until they cross over to the other side. Beware making that mistake
because all true believers have eternal life right now . . . no delay and no waiting
period.

John 5:24 . . I tell you the truth: whoever hears my word, and believes Him who
sent me, has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from
death to life.

FAQ: Judas partook of the bread and wine species during Jesus' last supper. Are
you implying Judas obtained eternal life the very night he betrayed Jesus?

REPLY: According to John 5:24, eternal life is only available to folks who believe in God
and pay attention to what Jesus says.

This is a completely false view of Scripture.
What Jesus did in that upper room, is fulfill prophecy. Specifically Isaiah 42.
1“Here is My Servant, whom I uphold,
My Chosen One, in whom My soul delights.
I will put My Spirit on Him,
and He will bring justice to the nations.
6“I, the LORD, have called you
for a righteous purpose,
and I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and appoint you
to be a covenant for the people
and a light to the nations,
9Behold, the former things have happened,
and now I declare new things.
Before they spring forth
I proclaim them to you.”

In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.
Luke 22:20

Notice the New Testament text says "the" and not "a" new covenant. It is a specific fulfillment of a specific prophecy. As Isaiah prophesied, it was to be a new covenant - done with blood - as all covenants are required to be done.

And it was to be for the "people" which in Hebrew refers to God's chosen nation of Israel. But not only them. Also for "the nations". For everyone everywhere. It is not exclusive to a certain nationality or people group. It is for everyone who accepts His sacrifice on their behalf.

.
It is my understanding that according to Matt 26:28, Mark 14:24, Luke 22:20, and
1Cor 11:25, Jesus' crucifixion ratified the new covenant.

It is also my understanding that by means of Jesus' crucifixion both Jew and Gentile
are unified together with Christ in the new covenant. (Eph 2:11-22)

FAQ: What's so great about the new covenant. What's it got that the old covenant
doesn't?

REPLY: The old covenant allows God to pardon the people's sins, but doesn't allow
Him to forget their sins (Ex 34:6-8) and in point of fact, the people are reminded of
their sins once a year on Yom Kippur; whereas the new covenant offers both
pardoning and forgetting. (Jer 31:34 & Heb 8:12)

For example; former US President Gerald Ford pardoned former US President
Richard Nixon; but although the pardon kept Mr. Nixon out of prison, it did nothing
to clear his name, viz: he's still in the history books for criminal conduct, and unless
he gets his conduct cleared from the books kept by Almighty God, he will have to
face justice via the great white throne event depicted by Rev 20:11-15 where the
lost will be terminated by a mode of death akin to a foundry worker falling into a
kettle of molten iron.

The parable to drink blood eat flesh must be rightly divided or interpreted

Those are Jesus' words. Are you telling Jesus he is wrong?
You are wrong. You don't understand what he was saying. Worse, you misinterpret His words and don't have an open mind for correction.

Its simple english-22:29-I make a covenant with you ,just as my Father has made a covenant with me, for a kingdom-30) that you may eat and drink at me table in my kingdom and sit on thrones to judge the 12 tribes of Israel--That covenant is the Lords Evening meal that Luke 22 is explaining. Only to the ones who will sit on thrones= the little flock, not the great crowd of other sheep who are not of that fold. Its your religionsssssssss that are in error. Paul explained some are not worthy( 1Cor 11:27-29)= The great crowd.

You clearly have no conception of how a covenant was even made during Biblical times. Research it a bit.

Greetings Keiw1,

This introduces the rather unique and unusual JW teaching and practice concerning the Emblems. The JWs only keep this once a year, and then only a select few if any in each meeting partake. They also consider that any who lived before the ministry of Jesus will not be among the 144,000. Only once each year the JWs celebrate, but the emblems are passed along the row with most not partaking. Locally at least, they also invite the public to attend this special annual event.
Its your religionsssssssss that are in error.
My fellowship celebrate and participate in the emblems each week, and all baptised members partake of the bread and wine.

Kind regards
Trevor

Yes those words were spoken to the little flock= the ones who sit on thrones.
In order to understand the spiritual meaning of the parables hid from the unbelieving world . The parable drink blood eat flesh must be compared to the same unseen understanding .faith to faith

We know to drink literal blood void of spirit life is abomination it must be poured out so it can return to the lifeless dust it was formed from the field of clay.

Both water and blood are used interchangeably to represent the unseen work of Holy Spirt pouring his Spirit life in jeapordy of his own Holy Spirt life .Pouring out life on dying flesh with a living hope beyond the grave. A living sacrifice no dead sacrifices . again it was poured out at the foot of the cross or altar

The parable drinking the blood of dying mankind in John 6 must be compared to like parables By the witness of two God mysteries can be found. Many parable uses blood and water to represent the work of Christ pouring out His Spirt life on dying flesh and blood

David imprisoned having doubt. God sent him a thirst for hearing the gospel.

2 Samuel 23:16-18King James Version16 And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water (Gospel) out of the well of Bethlehem,(city of bread as flesh ) that was by the gate, and took it,( living water) and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the Lord. And he said, Be it far from me, O Lord, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

Using the witness of three to denote the end of the matter. Again beautiful parable of Christ pouring out His Spirt life in jeapordy of his woen spirt .

He give us little of His mighty faith in jeapordy of His own calling us ye of little faith .The golden measure Just enough to please us both

1 Chronicles 11:19

What goes in our mouth cannot enter ones soul it comes out as draught and must be buried outside the camp.

Paul warned you-1Cor 11:27-29-- So are you told you will sit on thrones?

Greetings again Keiw1,
I know 100% my teachers are correct on the matter.
This is a typical JW perspective and you seem to echo it on a number of subjects. If a JW comes to the door and you do not 100$ accept the JW propaganda, then the JWs will leave and not return.
Paul warned you-1Cor 11:27-29-- So are you told you will sit on thrones?
1 Corinthians 11:27–29 (KJV): 27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
All the OT and NT faithful will become kings and priests during the 1000 years. The exact role of each individual is not disclosed.

Kind regards
Trevor
