Anyone know about this?

Had this for a little while and just started into it. I never imagined anything was ever in print (software) like this.

More information than I can even handle.

Cyclopaedia of Biblical, Theological, and Ecclesiastical Literature (12 vols.)

THE REV. JOHN M‘CLINTOCK, D.D., ANDJAMES STRONG, S.T.D.

John M’Clintock and James Strong, Cyclopædia of Biblical, Theological, and Ecclesiastical Literature (New York: Harper & Brothers, Publishers, 1891–1894),

M'Clintock was an 1800's American Methodist Episcopal and Strong was a Methodist, creator of Strong's Concordance. Don't know enough to say for sure, but my guess that Methodism back that long ago was not quite what it is now. See Strong's writing on foreknowledge, for example:

"In the New Testament, "prognósis" refers to the divine foreknowledge of God, particularly in relation to His omniscience and sovereign plan. It implies God's prior knowledge of events and individuals, often in the context of His redemptive purposes."

Sounds almost Calvinistic!

Indeed.

I am careful about what I read, not all theologies align, so you have to "sift" through them.
