Before I present my article on assurance and hope of a believer. I would like to hear from you all on your views and beliefs on believer's assurance and hope.

Thank you in advance.

Our hope is found in such scriptures as:
1 Thess 4:13-18 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Is 11:6-9 The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will like down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child shall lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the cobra's den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper's nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Rev 21:1-7

Our assurance is that our God is Yahweh, the covenant LORD who keeps his word, with who there is no shadow of turning. Nu 23:19 God is not a man that he should lie, or a son of man the he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

John6:39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise htem up at the last day.

There is much to be sure about in Christ, in that God will complete whatever he has begun, for his own sake. It is for this very purpose that he created the 'somewhat sentient' inhabitants of this universe. I rather think he would not have created at all, if not for the purpose of building his dwelling place, the Bride of Christ.

How do I know and rest assured that I am one of his? Only by the witness of his Spirit to my spirit, that I belong to him. My satisfaction and joy is found in being completely at God's mercy, and watching him work; and he even lets me talk to him about it!

My hope is no longer in finding out that I am indeed 'going to make it', but rather to see him as he is.

The antithesis —doubt— comes just as Scripture says, as an effect of disobedience, and of looking at myself and my performance as a Christian.

Isn't it amazing that God thinks of us as He does? Isnt it? Considering all the things He deals with, all the things that occupy His mind, all worlds, all beings, all events. Yet, He still has individual thoughts of us. I find that utterly amazing. And not just a few thoughts, but a vast sum of them. I just cannot comprehend why God would think of us so often. To think, the Holy God Almighty, should think of us, notice us, regard us, set His heart upon us, that His vast amount of His thoughts cluster around us.
To think that each child of God dwells in His heart, and engages His mind as though he was the only one in the universe.

How precious also are Your thoughts for me, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Psalm 139:17.

Amen and Amen!!! Amazing how God really is. His word, His promise, His oath, His Covenant shall come to pass and nobody can break His Promise, Word, Oath, and Covenant. Nobody can snatch us out of His hand or His Father's hand. WoW!!! What comfort and assurance for us for sure.

Amen brother! Even the Apostle struggled and wrestled with sin in Romans 7. That the things he wants to do, he does not do. And the things he doesn't want to do, he keeps on doing. But the hope and assurance Paul finds is in Christ who has rescued him from this body of death. The devil will try to create doubt, because we sin, accusing us that we are not worthy of being saved or ever being saved. But as Luther once said, yes I am a sinner, but Christ came to save sinners like me.

And remember this, we are not worthy, only Christ is worthy and came to do His Father's will, fulfill the Law in the flesh to be the end of the Law for Righteousness. He killed and condemned sin (our sin) in His own body; suffered and was crucified in our place; propitiating God's justice upon His head for us. And clothed us in His righteous wedding garment of salvation. And all of this is His doing and giving to us who believe in who he is and what he finished on the Cross.
