Its clear what Gods Word says..

2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

1 Peter 4:17
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Now, we must prepare to meet our God blameless and perfect, which is a level of sanctification that many say is not attainable, yet we find this in Gods Word.

1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So how are we able to say we continue in sin and iniquity, we must be cleanse of it before Christ comes through the work of the Holy Spirit. Many are willfully breaking Gods Law and claiming they are cleansed and sanctified. But they are at war with the law of God, and Christ has said what will happen to those at the end..

Matthew 7:22-23
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Is this op asserting what is commonly called sinless perfection is possible on this side of the grave?

In the mindset of those who insist on self-determinism, I keep seeing a strange thing: They speak in terms of the possibility for something to happen that never happens, just as they speak of predestination as the notion that there is no point in pursuing the obedience that is predestined to happen [automatically].

I could have answered your question, "Is this op asserting what is commonly called sinless perfection is possible on this side of the grave?" with, "Theoretically". But I wanted to point out the mindset behind that answer.

So far, I consider the OP to be one of those insisting on self-determinism. In his mind, (so I suppose), all depends on the Christian to what degree he is successful in obedience (though, granted, he can get strength and wisdom to that end from God). Thus, sinless perfection is theoretically possible, to him, though empirically only ever achieved in Christ. Life operates according to the self-determinist's decisions, and not by God's particular decree.

Ironically, then, looking at things backwards as he does, he sees the Calvinistic among us as believing that both our obedience and disobedience is automatic, and so there is no point in making the effort. Likewise, he thinks that what we believe —that there is no such thing as sinless perfection in the redeemed before this death— implies that we need not try.

Only @Hobie can answer the question asked. Only he knows what he intends with his op.

Bhema seat of Christ , or per Ellen White, the Investigative Judgement event?

No, am a reformed Baptist, but think our poster just might be, and that is not meant to be derogatory, just that his posted views seem to line up with Ellen White views across the board
Thx. I now understand Post 7 better. Thx
