Hey, don't be so fast, Freddy.

It's not loving myself to send myself to hell.
Granted, but that doesn't answer the poll question or its implications.
Is your life worth more that 1,000,000 others?
Would the 2nd most important commandment to love your brother as yourself be a strong enough reason to decide in their favor?

Saint Paul said he would trade his eternal Life for his people; but he couldn't...
He was the greatest among Christians IMO. I'm way, way down the list and selfishly said I would not take the deal.
I asked a 5ish Christian friends this question and none took the deal. When I rephrased the question: "Would you go to hell to save your closest 5 loved ones ... one of 5 said yes.

That's well presented...

Who said it was about worth?

I'm taking the Paul defense (Ro 9:3).

I'm not very good at contra-Biblical propositions.

By definition deals are about worth. Each side of the deal has to determine the worth of the deal to determine if the trade is worth it to them.

Apparently, Paul would have taken the deal.
" 3 For [if it were possible] I would wish that I myself were accursed, [separated, banished] from Christ for the sake [of the salvation] of my brothers, my natural kinsmen," ... in other words it's a deal for Paul.

Just for fun. To stimulate thought. The proposition is fictional.

My life is worth exactly what the Savior paid for it. No more, no less. How I spend that life pointing other's too the Savior is a price I'll gladly pay. But I cannot save myself let alone 1 million others. These hypotheticals serve no purpose. Sorry, Freddy.

No deal.

Yeah, I know. But it was too contra-Biblical, as in impossible to occur, to work with.
Being impossible, I chose not to take the deal.

If a gang of street thugs beat me to death, that is a bit of hell for me and for the ones who love me. Would I vote to change the Justice System to forgive them, to show them mercy and allow them to roam free? Would I vote for a Justice System that would give them all my possessions as a sign of my love for them?
It is a corruption of the idea of Justice. God is Just. God's will be done.

Well, well, a deep subject. :)

Since I am what some would call a high calvinist I'd say no. I say this because of the fact of election as per Ephesians 1:4. I also believe those 1,000,000 in hell would be miserable in heaven.

Great biblical response, spot on!

Luk_23:34 And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.

I wonder if God forgave them?

Matthew 5: 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you

That is not a get out of jail free card.

The Bible doesn't record them being consumed in a pillar of flame so I have to assume, at least at that moment, they were forgiven.

Matthew 13 : 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Forgiven for that moment, if any had declared Christ Lord and repented, they would be saved. However, they saw, heard and proceeded to cast lots.
I am considering while I am writing, not any "cast in stone" conclusions...
